Boosting Positivity and Connection: Motivational Signage and a Vibrant Artist Residency

Driven by a commitment to continuous learning, positivity, and inclusion, and with a focus on deepening student social and emotional learning, Principals Matt Mehler and Dennett Sidell spearheaded two impactful initiatives. Students and staff are now greeted by uplifting motivational signage throughout the school corridors, fostering a more positive atmosphere. Additionally, the school community welcomed artist Bren Bataclan last spring for an inspiring week-long residency. Bren collaborated with Elementary and Middle School students through engaging assemblies and smaller group sessions, guiding them in transforming their collective ideas and the unique character of our school and community into a vibrant mural for the Corey stairwell.
