Mission

Our Mission:

The Carlisle Education Foundation is a non-profit volunteer organization that advances innovation in the classroom, promotes excellence in teaching, and enables superior learning opportunities for students and educators in the Carlisle Public School community.

Our Core Principles:

Educational Excellence
CEF is committed to supporting academic and teaching excellence in Carlisle Public Schools by encouraging creative exploration, innovation, discovery and fostering the skills necessary for our students to excel in a competitive global marketplace.

Teacher Development
CEF encourages teachers to pursue professional development opportunities in order to improve skills, learn new techniques and stay current with the latest teaching trends.

Community Relationships
Through philanthropic endeavors, CEF seeks to establish and maintain long-term relationships with our community and business partners so we can respond promptly to our school’s requests for educational needs as they arise.

About The Carlisle Education Foundation
For more than 20 years, our community of generous donors have enabled the Carlisle Education Foundation to fund numerous pilot projects, new academic initiatives, multiple opportunities for professional development and technology enrichment for our classrooms. Proceeds from our programs go directly to fund projects that might not otherwise be possible due to school budget limitations.

As a result of this generosity, the Foundation has funded an impressive list of projects over the years including: the purchase of specialized furniture, equipment and supplies for the Science and Engineering Room; funds to support a part-time engineer to assist teachers with incorporating engineering topics into the curriculum and providing classroom instruction; the purchase of mobile Mac computer labs for each grade level; funding pilot programs in world languages for grades K-5 and Chinese for middle school students; and providing seed money for a science, technology and engineering program that holds workshops on electronics and robotics. In addition, CEF has sponsored our teachers and administrators to attend workshops and conventions throughout the US and abroad to improve skills and learn new techniques.

As the primary fundraising arm of the Carlisle Public Schools, the Foundation seeks to strengthen our philanthropic efforts to support our school programs for many years to come. Our board consists of parents and business people in the Carlisle community who are committed to help supplement the tools and teacher training necessary to maintain the high level of education already offered in the Carlisle Public Schools. We actively seek new board members and volunteers who share our vision and wish to help us pursue our charitable goals each year.
